The title "Wild Wolfe One" comes from my nickname.  A name bestowed upon me by friends and colleagues for reasons due to my strange habit of living alone in wild places and actually enjoying myself living there.  I have become so accustomed to dwelling in the out-of-doors, I feel quite at ease there which has enhanced my ability to study the rituals of natural occurrences...and write about them.

I have accumulated 12 years of field journals, mostly from my outdoor life in the upper mid-west, and hopefully will transform them into a book in the future.  For now, as I learn how to build web pages, I present you with this site.

I hope this site ties in enough info so it is useful and interesting to folks who are concerned about wolves, and is entertaining to people as well.

Follow the underlined links in the short story of my travels across the roof of America on the next page.  The story starts with the genesis of my wild ways and ends with my three year, solitary existence in the hills of North Dakota.  The links on the page, map my incredible experiences along the way.

If you are concerned about the reintroduction or general well being of wolves in North America, and would like to learn about ways you can help, go directly to page 7 here:
